Our Story

Tucked deep within the rugged hardwoods and pine ridges of West Central Alabama, Bennett Lodge traces its roots back to the early 1970s, when my grandfather—a true Southern sportsman—began commercial hunting on our family farms. What started as a simple place for weekend hunts and storytelling around the fire has grown into a top-notch spot for folks lookin’ for trophy whitetail deer and genuine Southern hospitality.

Since taking the reins in 2005, I have dedicated myself to honoring the rich legacy of our land while steadily expanding our hunting property to over 2,000 carefully managed acres. Our land features a diverse landscape, including pine plantations, revitalized clear-cuts, majestic old-growth hardwood stands, and lush, abundant food plots. These areas are thoughtfully connected by well-placed stands, shooting houses, and strategically positioned ground blinds. 

With decades of boots-on-the-ground wildlife management behind us, we’ve nurtured a habitat where mature bucks thrive, season after season. It’s not just about the size of the rack—it’s about the story behind the hunt, the camaraderie, and the respect for land and game that defines Bennett Lodge.
